“Hendrix started at UJFC as a 5 year old back in 2020. Considering the break for Covid which interrupted everyone’s development, it was remarkable how quickly Hendrix hit the ground running when the team returned and started to prepare for their first U7 season. From the onset it was clear that his ball mastery and control helped him stand out from the crowd. He was incredibly brave on the ball and considering that he was a relatively shy character, he was absolutely ruthless infront of goal with an insatiable appetite for hitting the back of the net. Under the stewardship of Mark Grimley, Hendrix and his team mates took the BJFL by storm that year and it was no surprise to anyone that Hendrix attracted the attention of many clubs before finally signing for Burton Albion. It was a real pleasure watching him develop that year and all at UJFC wish Hendrix the very best for his future.”
